This is a story of a sweet older man named Amos McGee. This man was a great friend to all of the pets at the zoo, he helped them all when they needed it and brought them company each day. One day Amos McGee wok up feeling ill so he decided to stay home from work today: which meant staying home fro the pets at the zoo too. The animals at the zoo all waited for him. Once they realized he was not coming today, they all gathered up and walked to the bus station and showed up to his house to support him like he had supported the animals every day up until this day.
This story is a good book to read to students to teach them about being a good friend. I would read this book in class to provide examples of being a good classmate and helping others out and having each others back when someone needs it. Love this book!
